Aimee Mann admits she almost passed on performing with Rush

Aimee Mann recently joined Rush during their first four shows Fifty Something Reunion Tourperforms “Time stands still” at each of the band’s concerts in Los Angeles.

Until these latest concerts, Mann had never performed the 1987 classic with Rush. In a recent social media post, the singer revealed that she almost passed on the opportunity.

“Way back in March, I received an email from Geddy Leefrom the band Rush,” Mann wrote in a cartoon posted on Instagram. “But I was honestly in a silly place and couldn’t imagine doing it. I was in such a hole that I couldn’t even answer one way or the other. I knew I would regret it if I didn’t try. They were so friendly and accommodating. I felt protected by their bubble of music and Canadian warmth, and I was lifted up by their fans.”
