Xbox is officially making a huge, iconic open-world game 100% free for all players to enjoy, but only for the next 24 hours, so if you’re looking for something new to play, this might be the option. The majority of what is considered free on Microsoft’s gaming platform is often locked behind its primary subscription service. e.g. Xbox Game Pass got a whopping 140-hour RPG recently, but only Premium, Ultimate and PC Game Pass members will be able to enjoy it without having to pay anything extra.
Nevertheless, every once in a while Microsoft makes some of its premium games completely free for all players, even if only for a limited time. This does not refer to completely free games, e.g Genshin impactbut for paid games that go on free trials. Now, as reported by Pure Xboxa major Xbox game will be completely free, and players will have around 24 hours to experience it – with access to all of its content.
As part of the Xbox Free Play Days initiative, Microsoft is making State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition completely free to play for all players who own an Xbox. This free xbox download without game pass claims can be played right up to the end of June 14, when the offer expires. It’s worth noting that the game is already available for all tiers in the Xbox Game Pass catalog, so this offer is mostly for those who don’t subscribe to the service.
Nevertheless, even if you’re a Game Pass member, the Free Play Days initiative can serve as an incentive for you to check out the game – and if you enjoy it, you’ll be able to keep playing it long after June 14 thanks to your membership. If you want, you can check out beginner tips for State of decay 2 and start playing it on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S consoles this weekend.
If open world zombie sim gameplay isn’t quite your style, despite how much fun content it has to offer, this isn’t the only game made free for players to check out over the weekend. As part of the initiative, Microsoft is also offering a free 5-hour trial on Blasphemous 2 for anyone with an Xbox console to check out, no Game Pass membership required.
But if you’re a Game Pass member, you might want to check out All hell broke loose for free, as this title, which is also part of the Free Play Days program, is offered completely free of charge, but only for subscribers. There is always a lot going on Xbox ecosystem, and while State of decay 2 is an impressive limited time freebie to play, there is always something for everyone.
